John is a senior sales and general management professional with over 28 years of global experience living and working in four continents. An established team leader who has travelled extensively since 1990, working mainly to develop and grow markets, lead sales & marketing teams, and head the general management of distribution & support companies. John has been fully involved with P&L’s, Strategic Business Planning, Business Turnaround & Restructuring, Key Account Development and Dealer Management.
Currently, John is serving as VP & GM for Manitowoc Cranes in Australasia with direct responsible for managing all aspects of business in the region. Manitowoc is world’s leading manufacturer of lifting solutions equipment for heavy construction, residential and commercial construction, energy-related, wind farm, infrastructure, duty-cycle with global sales and manufacturing operations with annual revenue of roughly $2B.
Prior to leading Australasia for Manitowoc, John was managing Manitowoc’s Asia Pacific operations (less China & India) with 6 branch/company locations and an extensive dealer network covering three distinct product lines. John has been instrumental in growing the businesses, as well as managing profitability through several difficult economic cycles within specific countries, as well as the global retractions in recent years. With Manitowoc, John has also managed the roles of Sales Manager for Southern Europe & UK, and Product Manager for mobile cranes in EMEA, after his starting his career as a factory sales rep in the US.
John holds Bachelor’s degree from the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor.
